What is CHF's Privacy Policy?
CHF is very protective of our supporters’ privacy. Please read our Privacy Policy to see how we protect the information you give us.

How Is CHF Funded?
CHF is mostly funded by individuals who care about the needs of children. Also, corporations, churches and foundations provide us with some of the funds we use to achieve our mission.

Does CHF help children all over the world?
Yes. We have sent products to trusted ministries and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in over 70 countries worldwide. However, we also focus much of our energy and support on specific countries where we have particularly strong relationships with local leadership. We call those locally led groups of ministries “Mercy Networks. We have Mercy Networks in Los Angeles and Chicago as well as in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Perú, Ghana and Uganda.

How many people work for CHF?
Great question. We have 40 employees, but many of the people who work with us to serve needy children are volunteers. Besides the volunteers who operate within each Mercy Network, thousands of volunteers work with us each year in Chicago and LA to help package and prepare the food and other aid we send to needy children.

How old is CHF?
CHF was founded in 1991 by our President, Dave Phillips.

How many children die each day from hunger?
What a sad question with a very sad answer. Most statistics show that nearly 6 Million children will die this year from hunger related causes. Although that number is incredibly intimidating, we know that though we can’t help them all, each one that we do help is given hope for a new tomorrow free from hunger and suffering.

Does CHF only provide food?
No. Through our corporate relationships we have access to all kinds of useful products for needy children. We distribute food, clothing, toys, medicine, vitamins, blankets, shoes, hygiene items, school supplies and many other products that will help to ease their suffering.

What does CHF feed suffering children?
Much of the aid we distribute comes from corporations who are donating products they don’t need anymore. Therefore, what we feed children varies. We work hard to procure products that are nutritious and good for children in each situation. Recently we have had access to a very healthy rice casserole meal that is culturally acceptable in most countries and high in nutritional value.
