LATIN AMERICA UPDATE
Aura lives with her 7 children and her parents in a 3 room shack in Guatemala City's famed Zone 3 garbage dump. The front door opens into a room carpeted with junk salvaged from the dump. One room has a bed and a crib that she and her children share. Her parents share a bunk in the other room. Each day, Aura leaves her 2 month old baby with her youngest sons while she scours the dump for items that might take a price in the market.
